Style Guide - St. Patrick's Day

March 4, 2015

St. Patrick's Day is just around the corner on March 17th! Have you ever wondered why we wear green? Wearing green on St. Patrick's Day is a tradition that started in the 17th century, when green ribbons and shamrocks were worn to celebrate Ireland's patron saint.

We also did some searching and found 4 reasons why the color green is such a popular color this time of year:

  • Green is one of the three colors in the Irish flag.
  • With its lush, green landscape, Ireland is known as the "Emerald Isle."
  • Green is the color of spring.
  • Green is the color of the shamrock. A three-leafed plant and known as a symbol of Ireland.

Whether you love emerald, lime, olive, or mint green, add some fun to your wardrobe and celebrate with a great accessory!

What's your favorite shade of green?
